Hello, I am Sharon,
Your Independent Celebrant in
Devon and Cornwall
My philosophy is simple – to offer you a professional service that provides you with up to date information, choice, care, support and uniqueness. I listen to what you need and help you explore the options you have. Together, we plan and create a bespoke service or ceremony that reflects your ideas and wishes.
I trained with The Fellowship of Independent Celebrants (FOIC) and achieved my accreditation and NOCN qualification in 2019 and I work closely with the best Funeral Directors in the South West to ensure the very best for you and your family.

These can be difficult times and there is no need to navigate them alone. Get in touch for a chat with no obligation.
There is one thing that most of us will avoid talking about – our own funeral!
When we lose someone, we may wish we’d asked them more about their wishes or listened to more songs they’d liked, or maybe paid more attention to their stories that we didn’t think were that important at the time.
Or you may wish to record your own funeral wishes in advance, this way you have some control over what will happen.
It’s not easy to plan a funeral, it can be far more difficult than people realise, at a highly emotional time. But if your loved one has discussed and documented their funeral wishes with me, your family celebrant, then the information needed to plan their service is there ready for you and I will help you to arrange the service. Should you choose to not use a funeral director, then I can organise everything for you. You may want a celebration of life service or memorial service held on your private land or in a hotel or somewhere that has significant relevance to your loved one and family, anything is possible. I have previously worked as a Funeral Director and have close links with local providers. Working with me, you can create a truly unique way to make the last act for your loved one heartfelt and memorable.
Thank you for all that you brought to the service. We wanted something more personal than the standard experience that we have witnessed all too often. You certainly gave us that. You treated us with empathy and compassion and gave us the time and space to find the right things to say. It was really appreciated.

Sharon was recommended to our family by a neighbour when we had to start planning the funeral for our non-religious Dad. From the outset Sharon has offered great kindness, support, knowledge, advice and recommendations in a warm and professional manner. She has spent many, many hours with us, and Dad, helping us to put the right service together in exactly the way Dad wanted it. We could not have wished for better.
Thank you for your kindness and support to my family throughout this year. It has meant so much to me. You are a very kind lady and do a fantastic job supporting, respect, dignity and just being you. It has meant so much to us all as a family.

The service was perfect in every way and all the guests said it was the best send off they had ever been to. Although sad, it was a wonderful day. Thank you.

Pet Memorial Services
I understand that losing your beloved pet is heart-breaking and emotional for all the family. Your pet will have been a huge part of your family, will have loved you unconditionally and been a faithful companion.
A Memorial Service offers comfort, embraces the grieving process and acknowledges your relationship with your pet. It is a chance to celebrate their life, their unique qualities and remember all the wonderful times you shared.
I can talk you through all of your options and help you choose the right way to say goodbye.
