About
Sharon Gowans
I trained with The Fellowship of Independent Celebrants (FOIC) and achieved my accreditation and NOCN qualification, three years ago.
If you are unsure what a Celebrant is please see below. If you choose me as your Celebrant, you will not be on your own.
Alongside being a Celebrant, I am also a qualified counsellor registered with the BACP and National Counselling Society, with specialist training in bereavement and trauma and a Level 5 Life Coach.
I grew up in Scotland and served in the Armed Forces, settling in Devon and Cornwall when I left. Anyway that’s enough about me, have a look around the site and hopefully I will talk with you soon.
Thank you
Sharon
What is a Celebrant?
A Celebrant is a qualified person (normally from a non-clergy background) who will officiate a service or ceremony. So for example, with a funeral service, if your loved one wasn’t particularly of any religious faith, you may choose to have a celebrant conduct their funeral service, which would focus on celebrating their life.
Whether you are organising a funeral or a wedding, you will need someone by your side that you can trust and who is able to offer you, not just the practical side of the arrangements but also the emotional support to ensure your wellbeing is cared for throughout.
Planning a service or ceremony can be stressful and difficult, but I am here to help you. Please contact me to ask questions, find out information, chat through what you are looking for and we can then begin to work together.
